Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 29 May 2026
This Cancellation Policy (the “Policy”) sets out the conditions governing the cancellation of, and refunds for, the admission tickets (the “Tickets”) sold by JSC (Japanese Student Club in Amsterdam; the “Organiser”) in respect of the event entitled “Japan vs Netherlands Public Viewing” (the “Event”). Any person who purchases a Ticket (a “Purchaser”) shall do so having read, understood and consented to this Policy. Upon completion of the purchase of a Ticket, the Purchaser shall be deemed to have agreed to this Policy.
Article 1 (Principle of non-refundability)
Following the completion of the purchase, Tickets may not, in principle, be cancelled, changed or refunded, irrespective of the reason. The Purchaser shall complete the purchase having fully understood and accepted this.
Nothing in this Article shall limit any right conferred on the Purchaser by mandatory consumer-protection law, to the extent that such law applies.
Article 2 (Cancellation or postponement attributable to the Organiser)
Where the Event is cancelled in its entirety at the decision or for the convenience of the Organiser, the Organiser shall refund to the Purchaser an amount corresponding to the entry fee, excluding the payment processing fee payable to the payment service provider, or shall, with the consent of the Purchaser, arrange a transfer to an alternative event or take other measures.
Where the Event is postponed, the Tickets shall in principle remain valid for the rescheduled date. The treatment of Purchasers who are unable to attend on the rescheduled date shall be separately notified by the Organiser to the registered email address.
Article 3 (Force majeure and changes to the match schedule)
The content of the Event may be changed, or the holding of the Event may become impossible, due to a change of the match schedule or fixtures by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) or other organising body, circumstances affecting the venue, natural disaster, epidemic, order of public authority, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Organiser (“Force Majeure”).
Where the Event is cancelled or changed due to Force Majeure, the Organiser shall endeavour, so far as possible, to arrange a transfer or refund, but does not guarantee the same, and shall not be liable, to the maximum extent permitted by law, for any loss incurred by the Purchaser arising from Force Majeure.
Article 4 (Non-attendance for reasons attributable to the Purchaser)
Even where the Purchaser is unable to attend the Event for personal reasons (including illness, a change of plans, delay or suspension of transport, or any other cause), the Organiser shall not refund the Ticket.
A Purchaser with unavoidable circumstances may consult the contact set out in Article 6 as early as possible before the date of the Event; this, however, does not oblige the Organiser to provide a refund or any other remedy.
Article 5 (Transfer and resale of Tickets)
Tickets are issued on the premise that they will be used by the registered Purchaser personally. Reselling Tickets to, or transferring them for profit to, a third party without the prior consent of the Organiser is prohibited.
A Purchaser who wishes to transfer a Ticket to a third party shall notify the contact set out in Article 6 in advance, and the Organiser shall determine, to the extent it considers operationally necessary, whether to permit such transfer.
Article 6 (Contact)
Any enquiries concerning, or consultations under, this Policy should be addressed to contact@jsc-amsterdam.nl.
